Visser & Meijwaard for Hermès
Vera Meijwaard creates a visual feast of twelve warming winter scenes for French luxury brand Hermès. ‘You’ve got mail’ is a series of art window displays across six countries in the Benelux and Nordics for Winter 2023.
It’s this time of the year where everyday life can be transformed into a more sparkly, warm and spectacular version when shared with the ones you love.
The window scenes centre around the arrival of an envelope whose contents shake everything up. A letter transforms into a paper bird that becomes a boat and then shape shifts into an airplane putting everything upside down. Tableware is balancing dangerously on dining chairs who then balance themselves on silver cutlery. The story is an ode to the tradition of sending joyful words to those you hold dear during the holiday season.
The windows are carefully created with paper, leathers, flock, delicate stitching and chrome elements for extra holiday sparkle.
