Everyda(y)ta: everything is data
ONE WEEK ABOUT Graphic Design Festival Breda by GDFB
The exhibition Everyda(y)ta at the Graphic Design Festival Breda shows how the visualization of common data leads to new insights. Collecting data for commerce, science and journalism is characteristic of today’s society. Data are everywhere and can be made transparent in many ways. This is no longer a scientific problem but a graphic challenge. The amount of sources and possible stories offer innovative graphic designers unlimited visual possibilities, which is made abundantly clear by this exhibition.
Guest curator Thomas Clever (CLEVERºFRANKE) composed an international and topical overview of innovative data visualizations, ranging from statistical data to user generated content. He shows in what ways designers visualize today’s society on the basis of data. These data visualizations are screen-based and interactive as well as analog and three-dimensional.
Open: Wednesday through Sunday, 11.00 – 18.00 hrs.
Location: Station Breda
